We drove to Malaysian west coast, just north of Lumut, to a beach at Senagin.
It was a long beach with nice clean sand and covered by overhanging trees to give shade from the sun.
As we went on a Tuesday the beach was deserted a part from a deckchair attendant.
The sea was warm and the waves broke very close to the shoreline as, where we were, the gradual slope of beach dropped away only metres into the sea, which would be hazardous for small children.
